I Love Information technology!

Verified purchase

I watched the Animated Series when they first aired some 25 years ago. Watching them again some 25 years later brings back a wave of nostalgia, from getting off schoolhouse to watching Batman on an old twenty" CRT Tv at my grandparents' place, back when all there was to worry about was homework.

In those determinative years, I didn't appreciate the serial the same way I do at present. When I played them again on Amazon, I could inappreciably believe my ears: The title credits started with a bang: Full orchestration! As I dove deeper into each episode, letting the sounds of the orchestra and the voices from my childhood fill up the living room, my beloved and appreciation for the series grows.

The voice-interim is just terrific, from the way Batman conveys his moods and feelings to the seductive and voluptuous voices of Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Poisonous substance Ivy, all without detracting from the fact that this was a series fabricated for kids. Adults will withal enjoy it. As for me, I will always think of the voice of Batman and the Joker as Kevin Conway and Mark Hamill. To this solar day, the way the Joker is blithe and the way Hamill plays him even so sends chills down my spine.

The golden standard all Batman/DC movies should follow

Verified purchase

This series is CLASSIC! Don't underestimate information technology just considering it is in a cartoon format. For newbies to Batman or DC universe, this is the standard that all Batman portrayals should be held to. Certain the plot isn't complicated; you know Batman is going to save the twenty-four hour period and catch the bad guy, only that's non what's excellent about the series. It'south how true to grapheme the series is. Batman isn't just millionaire playboy who does vigilante work at night. He'south a detective. Yes the detective in Detective Comics. Movies don't portray that function of him, just it'southward what makes him so different from the other superheroes in the DC universe, is his intelligence and sharp instincts. The villains are iconic and Marker Hamil as Joker is such a treat. Goes to bear witness that even if for kids, cartoons don't take to always be cute and bubblegum (like most of CN'southward shows at present). It's night appeal, mysterious allure, and even feminine seduction is really what makes this testify THE Batman that fans take come to love and picture show directors try (but fail) to bring to the big screen. Also, the music, opening and background, is FANTASTIC! Really sets the mood.

Warner Brothers, Zack Snyder, and CW network, y'all guys demand to go back to these roots and exercise justice to the characters you guys keep ruining in your movies and Boob tube shows!

the Animated Serial is neat! Kevin Conroy is the one true voice of ...

Everyone has "their" Batman--the Batman that is the quintessential Batman, that they grew up with and which serves as their catechism for all things Batman related. I grew up during the 90's, and for me this is the definitive Batman. Dark and heart-searching in tone, with a fair amount of lite-hearted cartoon-y sense of humour, Batmas: the Animated Series is corking! Kevin Conroy is the ane true voice of Batman, and Mark Hamill volition always be my favorite Joker (Heath Ledger a VERY close 2d). Do yourself (and your kids) a favor and check out Batman: The Blithe Serial, and the other shows in this genre of the DC Animated Universe--Superman, the Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and Greg Weismann's Yoing Justice.

One of the best animated shows to exist!

Verified buy

I'm a bit biased due to my dear for the Batman mythos merely I've e'er felt, even upon rewatching it every bit an adult, that this show was fantastic. The squad that put it together had involvement with the comics and knew how to tell a story in the Batman universe. The voice interim is peak notch and I notwithstanding think of "the" Batman or "the" Joker as Kevin Conroy and Marker Hamil respectively. In fact, Mark Hamil'southward joker is and so revered that they've recently hired someone who could audio exactly like him to the do the vocalization for a recent video game.

The evidence deals with a ton of dissimilar enemies from the Batman universe and that is what makes it so fun. The trouble solving is fun to watch and the scenery is engrossing, similar the comics. This team has truly put together a tremendous series and information technology's worth a watch. I think kids would enjoy it more these days merely telephone call me a large child because I definitely all the same put it on from time to time.

Swear to Kevin Conroy!

The BEST!

Verified purchase

My hubby and I offset watched this when we were nonetheless dating years ago. Now I am watching it with our 9 year onetime son. It is merely as amazing every bit I remember it. My son is enjoying it every bit much equally I am, even though some of the word play goes over his caput. Fantastic artwork, old school blitheness, worthy scripts, talented vocalization actors, wonderful soundtrack...this series has it all. I dearest the original open up (not seen until episode 2 in this Amazon set for some reason). The open is even more dramatic and stylized than the testify. It is a pleasance to watch before each episode. My son can't await to run into each villain, just so far he loves all of the Joker episodes the best.

What To Say That Hasn't Already Been Said?

Verified buy

What is there to say? I think anyone who is already interested in the Batman character knows how marvelously imaginative and fun these stories are, and how well done. From the eye-catching retro Deco pattern (based on the 1940s "Superman" cartoons past the Fleischers) to the bang-up array of established and - peculiarly in the case of Harley Quinn - presently-to-be-established characters...these gear up the bar VERY high for boob tube animation, and that bar has not been reached again. I can picket them over and over. The beginning flavor is probably the all-time, every bit the analogy style is the most purely 40s based, and Batman is a solo character, Robin being added subsequently due to the insistence of the producers, who felt he would entreatment more than to children, although the toon is clearly non meant for children. Just all seasons are worth a viewing...or two....or three...or four...etc.

Babyhood Relived

Verified buy

I love the animated series. My biggest regret was never buying the boxset of the entire series when it was available for $lxx. Now nosotros have con men basically pushing towards $300 for it. Even so thanks to amazon we become at to the lowest degree 2 seasons worth.

The series is construction is night and gothic, with an art deco flair to it. I think it's corking that they used the darker tales from the comics and Tim Burton movies every bit inspiration for the series. Kevin Conroy is great and of course the main reason people watch information technology is Mark Hamill/Joker. Everything about the series was crawly and memorable. Nearly all the villains of the Batman pantheon are used. Clayface, Homo Bat, and Scarface (the dummy) are standouts and the Scarecrow has much more than gusto than even the Nolan movies'.

As an adult, yous realise merely how mature the content is and you wonder how the studio got information technology passed by the WB censors. Notwithstanding is very enjoyable even today that, although my wife never watched it back in the 90s, she actually enjoys them when I put on a few episodes. Entertianment value, it still holds upwards. Sometimes the animation can be a picayune wonky, but nevertheless has moments where it looks similar a high upkeep animation. Flavor 1 was probably the best. It introduces u.s.a. to the villains and explores Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Scout Season one, you will never forget it.

This Batman is a Night Knight

Verified purchase

Batman the blithe series book ane is a treat for the DC Comics fanboy of any historic period. The storylines are very adult oriented , just mild plenty for the footling kiddies.Especially the stories nigh Clayface.. very emotional and heart rending storylines. The writers accept the characters from classic DC Comics and update them for modern times past putting unexpected twists in the stories and making new characters out of archetype DC Comics characters.I actually liked the twist that they did on Clayface past making him an thespian who becomes a victim of a accident that destroys his prosperous career until a corrupt business man offers him a take chances to make a comeback if he is willing to " do a few jobs for him".Classic stuff amped upwardly with excellent writing, awesome voiceovers and animation. Kevin Conroy is The Batman..what a voiceover artist . Sample this series and you 'll want to run across the rest.
